A must see with loved ones. My wife and I enjoyed the view and quiet time. Beautiful garden's with the lake is just breath taking. So beautiful and peaceful. After a busy work week enjoy Saturday or Sunday with Mackey Gardens.

Smack in town, very convenient. Good opportunity to get out and stretch, enjoy nature, etc. Gardens are best in spring, namesake home open January - April. But don’t overlook this state park at any time of the year. Very nice trails for walking, trail bikes,...More

Enjoy beautiful gardens overlooking Lake Hall via charming brick walkways. Find the secret garden. Relax on the lawn of the family cottage. Swim, crew, fish or kayak in the lake. Walk forest paths from Maclay Gardens to Lake Jackson. This is an amazing sanctuary to...More

Visited Maclay Gardens while in town for a business trip. While the peak azalea bloom had unfortunately passed (I visited in mid April), it was still a great place to walk around and bird watch. I also visited the house, and had an interesting talk...More

Visited on last day of March. Extra entrance fee because of blooming season, but there weren't a lot of blooms. Still, it's a lovely, quiet garden, a great escape from the city. Lots of young people/lovers and families visiting.

Absolutely beautiful! I arrived as the azaleas were beginning to bloom. Walk on the stone paths or grassy trails and discover hidden gems like the Secret garden or the reflection pool. Educational as well as relaxing.
