The Goodwood Museum and Gardens given you a great view into the past. The home has been restored and the grounds are lovely. The volunteers make the tour so interesting with lots of details of the families that lived there. The outer buildings each have a history of their own. You can also have weddings there!

Goodwood Mansion is a beautiful antique filled home. Before you go in , the docent tells you the history of the families that lived there. Our docent was in character and costume throughout our tour. It was interesting and well worth seeing. None of the other little buildings were open. The grounds are pretty but in a more natural state... More

What a history, our docent was most informative. he spent a couple of hours taking us through the history of the area and the owners, fascinating. So much of the home is original along with the furniture.Take some time to feel the history of Goodwood, as it represents a living part of the past.

The guides are very passionate, as they are involved in the restoration process of the buildings. The house is very open to view, as drawers and cabinets can be looked into, which are full of stuff from the previous owners. We visited in March, so the grounds were not in full bloom. The house is really something to see, to... More

When we were at this museum and gardens, the houses were not open. I believe they are at this time. It was a pleasant afternoon walking around the grounds and admiring all of the blooming plants and flowers. You feel like you are in a secret garden while strolling the grounds.

We had a fantastic tour with very knowledgeable docents. They went above and beyond to accommodate tourists that came at an inopportune time. Talk about Southern Hospitality! Would highly recommend taking the time to tour this lovely plantation.

house is well done and informative, gardens are interesting but wish I could have spent longer than 2 hours. I could have sat by the pool all day and enjoyed the spring breeze and nice weather. if you love old homes, don't miss this one

Was surprised to learn majority of house was original including the contents. Docent very knowledgeable and gave a very nice tour. Property still needs some restoration but it being worked on. Looks like a nice place for an event as barn renovated as large party space.

Had extra time during passing through Tallahassee so we chose to visit this attraction. Glad we did. Staff was very knowledgeable of the history of the mansion and eager to share it. Main building was full of interesting furniture, accessories and period clothing. A number of out buildings were also available but could only be viewed from the outside. Although... More
