For the state capitol, you'd expect a nice building, not here apparently, it's mainly offices and you have to take about three separate elevators to the observation room, it's an ok view if all you wanna see is trees.

We did not go through much of the new capitol building, but on the advice of the lady at the historic capitol we went to the top floor. Great views of the city and information n some of the things you are seeing. Kids really enjoyed it.

Travel desk was of little to no use other than handing us a piece of paper and explaining that they were not an information desk for the building. Why not? They are in the building. Woman in Governor's Office was on phone entire time. Could not find our Representative's office, and were told no one would be there anyway. Maybe... More

Everyone was nice and friendly. You should leave pocket knives behind as you do have to go through a medal detector and security check. Observation deck (22 floor) is enclosed and suitable for any weather. Building is full of historical facts and tributes to famous Floridians. Great family outing!

To enter you must pass a metal detector seach much the same as an airport. After you enter you can view the chambers on the fifth floor and be sure to take the express elevator too the 22nd floor for a panaramic view of the city.

This is a free and fun way to see Tallahassee from a bird's-eye point of view. Although you must go through security, including metal detector, once finished there is a treat when you get to go to the top of the building and see the area from 360 degrees. In addition to the awesome view, each time my hubby and... More

We are on a road trip to all 48 contiguous states. We include the state capitol in each state. This is one of the few that has completely abandoned its historic capitol and constructed a relatively new office complex to replace the old structure. The 22-story office building is worth viewing. It takes about 45 minutes to complete the self-guided... More

If you've never been to the top of the capital, you're missing out! It's completely free and easy. You just walk in, go through security, and up to the top floor of the elevator. Tallahassee's best kept secret! You can see everything in town! The most amazing view by far

The new capitol building is a gorgeous building filled with fine art, paintings, portraits and murals. You can see the house and senate floors, and on every floor there is artwork to be admired. Be sure to go to the 22nd floor for a panoramic view of the city.
