My Busch Gardens Experience
Oct 2020
Busch Gardens Tampa isn't as big or as known as the other parks in central but it is truly a world-class theme park. It is an African themed park located in Tampa, Florida, U.S.A. The 8 rollercoasters open at the time of this review are some of the best in their model's. SheiKra is a Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M) Dive coaster that was built in 2005. It was America's first ever dive coaster and it is one of Florida's tallest coaster's at 200 ft or 61 m. It was super smooth for a coaster 16, almost 17, years old and it is such a blast. Tigris is a Premier Rides Sky Rocket ll model that opened in 2019 as Florida's tallest launch coaster at the time of its opening. It is a clone of the same model ride around the world. It is short but sweet, a really good filler ride for a record breaking coaster opening in the same park in 2022. Kumba is a B&M sit-down coaster that was built in 1993. It was B&M's first ever sit-down coaster and is considered to be one of the best old school coasters ever built and is still considered to be a legendary coaster. For such an old coaster, it is smoother than most newer coasters and it one of the most intense coaster I have ridden. Scorpion is a rollercoaster by the defunct manufacturer Schwarzkopf. It is Busch Gardens' oldest operating roller coaster. I don't know what the park is doing to that roller coaster, but it is working cause its smooth and very intense. Sand serpent is a wild mouse roller coaster built by Mack Rides. Out of all of the roller coasters in this park, this one is the worst. it isn't bad, but it is very generic and can be found in many other parks. You can still ride it if you want to, but I would recommend using all your time on the other rides. Cheetah hunt is an Intamin Blitz/Multi-Launch coaster that was built in 2011. This is one of the longest rides found in the state of Florida and imitates the feeling of running like a cheetah through the Serengeti plains. This is considered as a family coaster but it pulls the same force as getting launched into space, and it is a must ride roller coaster since it is very fun and is fun to ride with people you know, or even complete strangers. Cobra's curse is a Mack Rides custom spinning coaster opening in 2016. This roller coaster is considered to be Busch Gardens' best themed coaster. There is not a single coaster in the world that is similar to cobra's curse and it is fun for the whole family. Montu is a B&M Inverted coaster built in 1996. It is one of 2 roller coasters in Florida that are high thrill coasters that go under the track. It is considered to be the best coaster of its model and it is one of the most intense coasters in Florida. Overall, every single coaster in this amazing park is unique and is a must ride. The events held in Busch Gardens are also a lot of fun, The Christmas event is fun event especially for the children who love the holidays. The food and wine festival is also a must see event, especially for all the gastronomy tourists. There are small stalls around the park with food coming from their themed lands and of course some wine for the grown adults. In all, this is a must see destination whenever you visit central Florida.

Better than Williamsburg
Aug 2021
We are a family of 5 (kids ages 5, 8, and 10), and visited in August 2021. I'm not sure if it was because we went in the middle of the week and/or Florida kids were back in school, but when we went, every ride was a walk-on, max 15 min wait. We loved the variety of the rides.

We absolutely LOVED Busch Gardens Tampa. We are season pass holders for BG Williamsburg. I think BG Williamsburg is prettier (they have received multiple awards for this), but BG Tampa has more/better rides, and more animals. However, due to COVID, they don't have very many food selections. The food was delicious and decently priced. We ate lunch at Zambia Smokehouse and were pleased to discover that they honored our season passholder discount for BG Williamsburg when we purchased our food!

Happy Vacation
Busch gardens was amazing! They couldn’t find our reservation, apparently using 3rd party causes issues, but we were able to get in and get physical tickets without much trouble.

Only 2 rides closed, and I as so happy to see all the amazing animals!!

Wonderful park for young and old
Aug 2021
Our family had a wonderful time on our first visit to Busch Gardens. The three toddlers really enjoyed the train criss-crossing around the park. It was a great way to relax and experience the park in full. Best of all, they were able to see all the wildlife at the park. Love that Seaworld Entertainment tried to incorporate more animal into the park--it was a great combination of zoo and theme park fun. There were also rides and rollercoasters for big kids and adults too. A little of something for everyone!

Waist of money
Aug 2021
I purchased an annual pass, my mistake, is not refundable. Many attractions are closed. The food is not the best and very expensive, $12.99 for a pizza slide, $14.99 for a hamburger, soda $4.plus. If you need an EVC prepare yourself $85. Not many choices. The employees look tired and with very few wishes to work, very few where able to help us with directions. We found a girl who help us many times. It was our angel. The park was clean but without enough employees and many areas look like they need care. It was hot therefore most of the animals where sleeping or tired, 2 shows are very good, the circus and the ice skates. If you like the rides is worth the money if the rides are working. The fireworks are only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the shows the same days plus on Monday. Around 2:30 it was lightening close to the park, all rides were close down, we wait till 4:30 and nothing was moving, decide to go to the offices and see if a compensation was available, like another free day or a discount on the EVC. Nothing. We left early and very disappointed.

OH" HOW THEY LIE
Mar 2021
My son and I live here in Largo Florida since August 2011. We have gotten Season Passes for the park as Florida residents for many years. But what a JOKE Covid-19 has been since they were closed and still charged us for the 2020 season. I was able to get my bank involved to help us recover some of our money.

This year I was willing to give them another chance when "Busch Gardens advertised Iron Gwazi would open in Spring 2021" BUT" As of two days ago they said "IRON GWAZI" will not open until March 2022; when our passes are expired! They also are refusing to cancel our passes, saying we are under contract! This is a deceptive practice under Florida Law { businesses using false and misleading information for profit}, which they clearly did when they enticed US and other Florida Residents to buy our 2021 Season Passes!

If you want to go to amusement parks, please try Disney, Fun Spot, Lego Land, or Universal. FINALLY Please don't support a park that forces Amimal to perform for food, and that uses deceptive advertisement to increase sales!

Owned by Seaworld where animals go to die
Owned by SeWorld. It’s no Disney. Sure it has some epic rollercoasters but that’s it. And the poor zoo animals they have are subject to nightly fireworks which probably stress the animals out. Either get rid of the animals or get rid of the fireworks. Go to Disney instead. Waaaaay more fun.

Disappointing
Aug 2021
Beware and call ahead to plan. Ask what food booths and rides will be open on the day you plan to go. We went on a Sunday in January and a Tuesday in August. We bought annual passes and took our visiting children and grandchildren twice. The first time we also bought food passes. Very disappointing and not recommended. Both times there were NO snack booths open and only 2 restaurants. So food options were very limited . Many of the rides were closed and parts of the park were desserted. If they have more than half of the food booths and rides closed they should give you a discount for entrance. We will not be going back.....Very disappointing.

DON'T GO
Aug 2021 • Couples
Close the park for one month. Get all the rides working and clean all public areas especially the ponds around the animal areas...they're full of trash of all sorts. No indoor shows were open. Many restaurants closed as were nearly all kiosks. It's as though they only want to be a second-rate roller coaster park. They should remove the animals and add a few more coasters...it's obvious that's all they care about. By the way, I've never paid $25 to park- ANYWHERE.
