Ybor

Nice old city with lots of restaurants and bars. Nights can be fun with the party like atmosphere. Many areas have homeless problems with many beggers

If you have a few hours to spare, this historical town is fun to walk through, watch cigars being made, sit and have a drink outside and just enjoy being in a unique area. We spent the afternoon there.

Amazing architecture that takes you back in time. Wonderful restaurants and quick food vendors with reasonable prices. Plenty of parking in a nearby garage.

Lots of Italian restaurants, especially pizzarias are plentiful. The nightlife has turned a bit tacky. And please try to attract more that the crystal meth users.

An authentic and historical town with a streetcar that connected us to the River Walk in Tampa - round trip for $2.50 each for us seniors. The visitor center has good info and a short video about the founder, cigar and coffee elements, and a great suggestion for lunch at the Columbia - oldest Florida restaurant which was delicious.

More hype than substance. Not a lot of authentic older buildings. More of a lunch spot vrs real tourist area (unless you consider the strip bar's amateur night an attraction).

We stopped at the state park/ museum to learn about the city's start. After visiting Cuba a year ago, it was really interesting to learn about Ybor's history. The guide at the museum suggested the Tropicana for lunch. "It's where the locals go," she said. It was wonderful and we picked up the cigars our son had requested. Cigars made... More

We visited Ybor City during the daylight hours and found the shops interesting and the fair that was going on very festive. Uncrowded during the day, it was enjoyable to stroll through the streets and neighborhoods, we felt quite safe.

Visited during a conference I had in Tampa. Quick trolley ride from the Westin at Tampa Harbor ($5 all day pass). Lots of bars, restaurants, cigar shops, tattoo parlors. Place is a little seedy at night but mostly fun!
