Dirty and way overpriced
Jul 2021 • Family
We spent over $250 for our family of 5 to get in and we were very disappointed. Many-many things were VERY dirty. The foam mats were covered in black mold, the lazy river was filthy (spoon, bandaids etc floating), the showers were nasty with water backed up several inches in some and just plain dirty. With the park being in FL and with Disney somewhat nearby I expected this to be at least somewhat nice especially for the price. Everyone in our family said they were disappointed at how dirty and un-kept every thing was. I would not go back for sure.

Don’t Waste Money on a Super Cabana
Jul 2021 • Family
$400 for a super cabana so we had enough seats for all 6 in our group. Cushions are stained and sticky. Old food in random places. Clearly it’s never cleaned - ever. Fridge was moldy. Got 6 bottles of water, 2 popcorn and 2 cotton candy. This is not what I was told was included. We paid $200 extra for popcorn and cotton candy. Concierge attendants were rude and just hated life. I thought part of what we paid for was to have them get food and drinks so we didn’t have to wait in the hours long lines, but they don’t do that. They sit on their phones in the shade and let anyone go to the cabanas. Thank God we got the water because we couldn’t get it anywhere else. The lines for food are so long it’s just miserable. They have to change the rule to allow outside food or people are going to end up sick from heatstroke. They can’t handle the number of people coming in, so they need to make adjustments. It was such a disappointment that I didn’t even take one picture that day.

Very disappointing
Jul 2021
I bought a season pass and have gone twice with my grandkids this summer. I'm very disappointed with this park.
All of the bad comments on the other posts are true.

Place is dirty. Understaffed. No place to get fluids without waiting in a long line. If you want a lunch meal you have to wait no less than 30 minutes, typically longer, at any time of the day. AND THEN when you finally get to the food, they've run out of several food options. My last visit they'd run out of hot dogs and desserts. Even the Dip'n Dots (ice cream) cart has only 2 flavors at an exorbitant price.

Wave pool wasn't working. Several slides were removed so lines for the existing slides are very long - unless you pay for a fast pass.

Not worth the money
Jul 2021 • Family
Not worth the money. Park was outdated and not very clean. Because there were so few rides, the lines were really long. Wave pool broken. Out of slushees and most dippin dots. Adults and children were disappointed. Will not return.

A joke
Jun 2021 • Family
This place is horrible, I paid $550 for my family of 4 to have a good day. $220 of that was for a cabana. I ask for que bracelets they said guest services, I ask for cashless payment they said first services, I ask for drinks and to pay with my wristband they said they couldn’t do it. What am I paying for? A tent? It rained and all attractions closed. Could I get a drink from my attendant? Nope! They weren’t allowed? But I was allowed to stand in line and wait?

What a joke!?

Zoo
Came because of the toddler pass. Kid areas are nice, areas were clean. Place is kind of a zoo with lines for slides and kids wild in the lazy river. Parking was easy and staff nice. Kind of ridiculous you cant bring anything in except an empty bottle to get warm tap water.

Nightmare on a summer weekend
I am a season pass holder for the Busch Gardens parks but I live a few hours away so I’m only able to go a handful of times a year. Our passes are good for Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Sea World, Aquatica. This time we went to Busch Gardens on Friday 6/25 and stayed the entire day from open to close. We enjoyed that and found all the lines to be acceptable. We then went to Adventure Island on Sat 6/26 and arrived before opening. Parking was a breeze and we got a good spot. Parking is $25 for regular parking and $35 for preferred parking if you are not a season pass holder.

At AI we did one slide where we waited about 30 minutes and then the lines got ridiculously long. We were also not thrilled with the limited food options and left the park after a couple of hours. We did a few loops on the lazy River. We had to walk a few times before any tubes were available. Having done Aquatica as well I would say Aquatica is a little larger and nicer. Aquatica also has heated water which will be nice when it is colder. I plan to try to avoid the weekends during the summer for the water parks. I don’t think it is worth the cost if going down slides us the main benefit you are looking for. You could easily wait 60-90 minutes per slide.

Food inside the parks is kind of Pricy unless you are a pass holder receiving a 20% discount. Most lunch items will be 12.99-14.99. For example a foot long hot dog and fries is 12.99. A soda might be about 4.29. They do have refillable cups for $15.99.

Lockers are another area both water parks get you. A small locker is $20 for the day. You can go in and out all day. A lot of people have waterproof containers for their phones and keys but I’m not sure I trust them.

Understaffed and it shows
I hadn’t been here in 20 years-
just bought passes with BG- probably won’t come back here until they fix the staffing issues. I will say every staff member I encountered was polite and patient.

- overcrowded, the reservation system is a joke, if this is “reduced capacity” I would be scared to see what full capacity is.

-food lines are INSANE, as others have stated
45 mins plus easy- and understaffed (due to Covid I’m sure) but it was probably the worst part of the day.

- lack of access to water, which is completely dangerous in this heat. I brought in a bottle but others have said they had to pour theirs out. There are no refilling stands/ easy access to water. I didn’t even see any water fountains (maybe I missed them) Many places are closed. They actually were out of bottled water when I got food and offered us tap thankfully, but it seemed like a potentially dangerous situation.

-Parking situation is bad too, it started to rain around 3 (like it does every day in the summer) but I was ready to go and the lot was a nightmare to navigate. No one is directing and there is one lane in and out which made for a huge mess. Took 40 mins once I got to my car to actually pull off property.

Rides looked fun, long long lines but I expected that. Hopefully things will improve, but until then I will stick with Orlando water parks.

Post-pandemic Excellence!
Jun 2021
I want to commend the Adventure Island staff during my family’s visit on 6/19/21. I recognize that staffing levels are low due to the post-pandemic environment, HOWEVER, every overworked staff at the end of long lines of people (ticket line, guest services line, Mango Joe’s, the eatery near the entrance and the pizza eatery in the back) was helpful and had a pleasant demeanor. We had a cabana, all you can eat bands & fast passes and were at the park ALL DAY. To maintain such a demeanor despite complaints about the wait (due to understaffing) and when faced with complaining guests, is refreshing! And in this day & age when customer service has taken a nosedive …very commendable! Well done by the staff and leadership.
