Coming from a coastal bay town, the bridge was less impressive to us than it might be to some. Still worth a drive, particularly at sunrise or sunset.

This bridge is famous as much for its beautiful design as it is for the historic accidents associated with it. Because there have been so many suicide attempts from this point, it is illegal to walk across or stop for photos. Sightseers can take pictures...More

Fantastic view of the Bay. Difficult to park but great to take long walks or bicycle rides. You can watch the boats come and go.

An impressive bridge. If in Tampa a must see. The best place is to drive south on the I 275.At the end of the causway there is a rest area where you can look back at the bridge

It was definitely scary to see it and when I got on the bridge as I was driving, but after I passed I just realized how amazing and how massive this bridge is.

The Subshine Skyway is a magnificent bridge, designed by a famous French bridge designer, with long, spectacular causeways leading to it on each side. It is just a few feet lower than the Golden Gate Bridge, with amazing views of Tampa Bay, Boca Ciega Bay...More

No worries - just go the opposite way - go north on I-275 from St Pete beach, merge on to I-4 east in Tampa and then I-75 south. Then you can drive down toward Sarasota and connect west over toward it wherever you'd like... More
