Lettuce Lake Park opened in 1982 and quickly became a hub of activities. The 240-acre site offers something for everyone. Wooded picnic areas and a playground are family favorites. A 1.25 mile bicycle path/jogging trail, complete with a fitness course, meander through the park. Lettuce Lake is also a haven to study nature. An interpretive center, featuring exhibits, leads to a 3,500-foot boardwalk and an observation tower where visitors can view an extensive variety of wildlife. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent to visitors to experience a wholenew side of the Park.

Love going here. So close to the city, but feels far away. Peaceful, lovely, lots of native plants and animals and easy walks on boardwalks. Nice observation tower offers views of the river, alligators, spoonbills, etc. So many chances for great photos!

This is the place to go to see birds, sun and fun. The kids will love the boardwalk through the cypress swamp. You may also see an alligator!

While at Lettuce Lake park, we spotted alligators, interesting birds and tons of butterflies. It is a beautiful, relaxing place to hang out for a morning

There is a nature center there but I don't think they sell post cards there.
