Huge assortment of sponges.

Old time shop with lots of tourist items. There were many people milling around, but no pressure to buy anything.

Small store with a decent selection of sponges but extremely over priced compared to others in the area. Staff was not overly friendly or welcoming either. Nothing special to see here.

I love the stores in Tarpon Springs. This one is always our first stop because we park next to it. Lots and lots to look at inside, every souvenir you can imagine! Staff is very attentive as with all stores in Tarpon Springs. Usually there are sales for multiple purchases so the more you buy the more you save.

Apart from a fairly informative video there was nothing but a means of selling sponges etc., Not a very nice place at all.

My husband and I decided to have a beach wedding. Being a local I knew I would save at this store. For less then $100 I was able to purchase all the shells, fish nets, and sponges needed for our reception.

Since you're visiting the sponge capital of the world - or at least Florida - you'll want to learn about the different types of sponges - this is the place to do it. There are different types good for different reasons. I remember that the best type is the wool sponge. Spongeorama is also a souvenir shop; in truth, I... More

This was one of our first stops when we arrived at the area known as the "Sponge Docks". We watched the film about the sponge industry. It was a very old film, but was very informative. In addition to the film, there was a video with a gentlemen who spoke about the many uses of the sponges, as well as... More

Went to this cruise line because the first impression made a good one online. Well it nothing more than a scam. We went directly to a little island where everyone was allowed to get off the boat for 30 minutes to look for shells.. the area the captain took us too didn't have many shells to be gotten. Once the... More

An interesting place to visit to learn some history of sponge harvesting and all their uses and decorating. If interested in sponge history, a must visit.

Thank Ole D
