Brooker Creek Preserve is a hidden gem off of Tarpon Springs road. If you have not had a chance to explore the trails and educational center then you should definitely stop by. They have a lot of guided hikes and even night hikes so be sure to schedule a spot on their website - they are free but they do... More

We arrived the day the Nature Center was closed, so we had the park almost to ourselves. Check ahead if you must see the Nature Center! Excellent walkways with lots of good signage.

We truly enjoyed the museum and walking some of the trails at this preserve! The museum did a wonderful job with their displays! Both youngsters and adults can learn much from them! A lot of thought and work have gone into these displays. They also have a very interesting film that you will not want to miss! When we visited,... More

Headed here after landing in Tampa. It's about our fifth trip or so to the area, but had never made it here before. What a treat for bird watchers and nature lovers. Easily walkable trails (some more advanced too), and each turn is filled with helpful guideposts on what you are seeing around you. Lovingly-developed and nicely designed to provide... More

We liked the many trails that go all over the area and the likelihood of seeing the many wildflowers and wild life.

Really enjoyed the museum and the nature walk, but the museum was the highlight. Great exhibitions that made understanding the Florida eco-systems much easier. The elevated walkway above the "swamp" was especially interesting.

Lots of walking paths, saw armadillos which was exciting. Easy to find, and you feel like you are in another world. The visitors centre was closed, but just wandering through the paths was a calming experience. Definitely a thing to do in Tarpon Springs.

Excellent elevated trails through the swampy Brooker Creek, rustic woodland and Florida "grasslands". One of my favorite places for a long peaceful walk. Trails go back for miles and some get a little uneven, but the pines and palms under the expansive blue skies are worth it. I've spotted gopher tortoises, alligators and loads of bird species on my numerous... More

We visited this preserve because we happened to be in the area and read about it under Things To Do on Trip advisor. It turned out to be spectacular. We arrived as a guided tour was starting. We saw three night herons and a shell of an armadillo. The guides were very knowledgeable. The visitor center was great with a... More
