More
As a part of the FKWBC, the Laura Quinn Wild Bird Sanctuary is home to over one hundred non-releasable, permanent bird residents as well as wild birds including hawks, owls, vultures, pelicans, terns, gulls, herons, spoonbills, and many more. Visitors are invited to learn about our birds and the fragile ecosystems of the Florida Keys. The Sanctuary is open to the public from sun-rise to sun-set. Admission is free, but donations to help the FKWBC to continue to fulfill our mission are gladly accepted. The Florida Keys Wild Bird Center's mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native and migratory wild birds that have been harmed or displaced, to provide or locate a humane shelter for those birds that cannot be released, and to educate the public toward the importance of coexistence with all wild bird species. The Florida Keys Wild Bird Center is a 501(C)(3) Charitable Organization.

I was happy to see the birds in decent habitats. The cages are labeled so you know what you're looking at. The center is free but there's a donation box. It's a great quick stop as there are a lot of birds.More

This is okay for a quick trip as the facility is not that big. It took us about about an hour or so to check out all the birds. It was nice to see the work that the facility is doing to save the birds....More

Maria, Good advice on visiting Moody. His grumpiness knows no bounds and he truly is a character unto himself. Thank you for visiting our Sanctuary and hopefully you will stop by again next time life sends you this way. Best, Jordan B.

Thank you for your feedback! Yes, we do care very much and are glad that it shows. The title to your review is a bit confusing to us. How is it that you fed the birds? Because this is not something we offer or allow...More

There were two doves that were out of the nest at the Hilton and I called the Bird sanctuary and they sent two young ladies over to help. They were awesome. Thank you both....

A very nice sanctuary taking care of those birds that are now unable to take care of themselves. There is no cost but it is sure nice to leave a donation on the way out.
