Horribly rude staff. I live in Vero and have frequently visited Riverside. Never ultra friendly but these people need to GO. You cannot sit outside and listen to the band unless you have a ticket. Masks police everywhere. Asked me as I was outside to wear a mask, I declined and I was told to go to the outside SMOKING (around the corner from where I was) to wait for my party. So I can be maskless IF I SMOKE??
Once inside there are about 15 staff members milling around as the gustapo. Bought a 10.00 drink (about 4 oz) and slipped my mask off the take a sip and the gustapo ran over to inform me I MUST wear a mask in lobby so NO drinking my 10 dollar drink..WHAT? I could go into sitting/comedy area, remove my mask and drink/eat. I can sit in a room of 50 people, maskless, yet I cannot wait outside maskless, or walk thru entry...Does not MAKE SENSE. ALL of them RUDE. ALL of them. Maybe they need to go back to NY.

This is an outstanding place! HOWEVER, the comedy show we went to last night was ABSOLUTELY FILFTHY! We should have left but suffered through it. It is such a shame that comedians think they can not tell jokes without the "F" word constantly and filthy sex jokes! I mean really, show some class! Am so disappointed that management would tolerate such discrceful verbage. Shame on you!

First time visit to Vero Beach and found that this place has outdoor events & Friday & Saturday nights. The tickets were complimentary. Tables & chairs were provided. Great band playing, folks dancing, festive lights & friendly staff. A menu of snacks, sandwiches & deserts was available, full bar service with reasonable prices. Fun was had by all

We went again to the Riverside Theater...where no seat is bad. We didn't care much for the play but we do love the theater. We have seen terrific shows and then some that were good...just not our thing. I would go back again and again. And season tickets are the way to go.

Our first show at this threater. The play (Thoughtly Modern Millie) was ok. The threater itself is wonderful. It was very easy to hear everything. My only complaint was that when we went to reeturn hubby's hearing assist there wasn't anyone at the counter and we had to go looking for help.

We saw howl at the moon and also Beehive. Beehive is a play about female singers in the 60’s. Excellent cast, great singing and staging. How at the moon is a dialing piano experience. Lots of fun and you can dance up a storm. Highly recommend both .

This is probably one of the best things about this wonderful town! From Broadway plays with The most beautiful sets, SAG actors, costumes and a Nationally renowned Orchestra, to the open bar and grill outside in “The Loop” which includes free concerts every Friday and Saturday night. Don’t forget about the awesome Comedy Zone and Dueling Pianos on the Waxlax Stage. The employees and volunteers make it an even better experience. Do not miss this unique venue.

I keep asking the same question, can I bring a dog
ryurecka
Vero Beach, FL121 contributions
I have seen all mannor of dogs at outside events at the Riverside however, I have never seen a dog of any size inside the theatre during a performance, if that is your question.
I for one would not want to be seated next to someone that brought a dog to a performance just for the general distraction away from the performance, Also consider the many in the audience, close seating, that have allergies that would suffer being seated next to a dog.
I have a Shetland Sheep Dog (Sheltie) that is very social, but I would not bring her to the theatre for the following reasons; not everyone likes dogs or are afraid of dogs of any size, clean up and disposal, getting tangled in leashes and they would have to be on a leash, etc.
I suspect my answer would not be popular however, I am just stating what the silent majority is thinking.

Howl at the Moon. 7:30 and 9:30pm. Dueling pianos with audience interaction. Dancing, singing, drinks and food. Plenty of fun. Sells out often. Buy tickets in advance.

The Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Salman Rushdie
on MARCH 13, 2017
In this talk, Salman Rushdie discusses fundamental freedoms and the attack they face both from religious extremism and from political correctness.
I don't see anything in March for the Comedy Zone.

Hi! We are planning a trip for a few families that have children. With that I was just curious as to if the shows were inappropriate for younger ages or if the comedians kept it at a calmer level? Please let me know as soon as you can!
Thank you!

Most of the play are family oriented although a few might not be of interest to children. Check their website. There is also a theater just for children. As for comedians, sorry cannot help. If your coming in October, check out Oktoberfest.
