This is a unique facility that creates a home for abandoned or injured wildlife. A large number of the residents were "exotic" pets that outgrew their homes or injured animals that no one could maintain. Our 2 hour tour had about 10 of us with...More

This was our second visit to McCarthy's. It is clear the tour guides love and care for all these animals. It is a wonderful hands-on experience-- holding turtles, kinkajous, alligators, and a very large snake! We love this sanctuary and always visit when we are...More

We had a great time visiting the sanctuary. There was a wide variety of exotic animals that are being very well cared for. Our guide Alexis was wonderful, very knowledgeable and entertaining.

Just spent a couple of hours getting a tour from Alexis. She was very entertaining and informative. Enjoyed seeing and holding some of the wild animals. Great thing to do with kids off any age!

This is a GREAT alternative to visiting a zoo. Amazing animals that are all rescued from awful situations. Your visit matters to the cause! You also have a chance to interact with some of the animals.

We just left the wild life sanctuary. The tour lasted about two hours. As a grandmother and retired teacher I learned a lot. We had our two granddaughters with us, 8 and 6. They loved it and didn’t complain once. It was hot! They got...More

I took my two boys ages 6 & 9. We had Libby as our guide, and she was amazing. She patiently answered my youngest’s questions, and he had about 90 or 100 questions, literally. The tour was great, and we had a wonderful time. We...More
