The boardwalk at this preserve is very nice. Last year we saw some feral pigs, but this year, nothing - not even a single heron! There is an art museum at the end of one of the boardwalk spurs. All in all, an interesting way...More

We are not ones who enjoy strip malls or tourist areas, so the opportunity to walk amongst nature on well maintained trails was delightful. Worth the visit for sure.

Take your walk in the morning before temperatures peak to enjoy yourself more. There are multiple trails ranging from 0.5 to 5 miles. Very neat to see FLA natural beauty up close. Take to time to sit in a rocking chair to enjoy the views.

It is a nice example of the Everglade swamp type areas. Lots of elevated boardwalk that are totally accessible. Other than looking at the plants and trees, we didn’t see too much except back at the visitor area. Binoculars allow you to see several species...More

Hi, I have never seen canoes there. A beautiful walkway on stilts leads all around the place. They don't want the wildlife disturbed.
