Was treated to a Gopher tortoise turtle observation as the turtle came out of the woods and walked by me stopping to eat grass along the way on the pines flatwood trail. Really enjoyed the pine flatwoods trail as well as the wetlands trail.

This park has Bike Rentals, Boat Rentals. GOlf courses. And they are working on some water attractions. The Paths are gorgeous. The lake is breathtaking. Its fun for the whole family.

in addition to a 1.5 mile nature trail and many paved and easy walking trails there is a fitness trail.Google Okeeheelee park fitness trail to check it out The longest regular walking trail is about 3 - 4 miles. Enjoy!!
