LOVED it!!! Captain Billy was our guide. Moe was his boss. They were both kind. Captain Billy is a terrific guide. He showed us gators, bird, and was very informative about the nature of the plants, land and water. We learned so much. Ask for Billy if you go. He’s a real back to nature guy. We will remember this tour forever. We did the private tour. Enjoy and just do it!! Reasonably priced as well. Don’t forget to tip. Ya mon

Hi! Unfortunately, Capt. Billy is not with Blackwater Airboat Tours. We want to be sure that the review goes to its proper owner. Capt. Billy works for Everglades Airboat Expeditions. Please be sure to move this review from our page to theirs.

Our family of 6 people, 4 adults and 2 kids went with Captain Jason on an air boat tour yesterday evening and it was spectacular! Captain Jason is extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife and provides the perfect amount of humor and energy to go with the tour. He kept the tour fresh and lively for all participants and everyone had a wonderful experience!

Captain Gerald is a galdesman, meaning is lives in the evergaldes. He took us to his home there. The tour was exceptional and amazing in every way. What a great guy. Super knowledgeable, informative, and very entertaining. I highly recommend Captain Gerald and evergaldes airboat excursions, you wont regret it! Lots of wildlife, including gators, close up!

"FORGET Louisiana"......WESTON, FL. BLACKWATER AIR-BOAT TOURS IS THE PLACE!!!!! We had no idea booking this tour that we were getting Captain Gerald, who actually lives 6 miles out in the middle of the Everglades! He was very very knowledgeable about the area and was kind enough to give us a tour of his home/cabin/cottage, "the Old Glory camp." His enthusiasm for the area and the wildlife was interesting and could have listened to him for days. Book with Blackwater Air-boat Tours and ask to take a tour with Capt. Gerald.....Don't forget your Go-Pro and take hundreds of pictures.
We are booking our next tour with Capt. Gerald!!!!!!!!

Jason zipped us around stopping to show us alligators, roseate spoonbills, wood storks, ibis, hawks, Endangered Snail Kites, apple snail shells, egrets, limpets, grimlets and exotic spider lilies. Jason turned off the boat and allowed us to take photos and positioned the boat for great sun angles and reflections. Jason provided blankets which were welcomed in the wind. Jason shares his knowledge of the Everglades and he even sings on the boat. It is a must visit tour plus one to return to again.

This is the second time we've used Blackwater for a tour of the Everglades. As with the first time we were met on time at the meeting point. The boat is clean and well kept. The captain was very friendly and very knowledgable. He was able to share a great deal about the wildlife, this piece of the Everglades and the ever changing environment.

The last time we were here in 2015 we didn't see much in the way of wildlife. This time we saw so many gators, turtles and birds that we lost track. Riding on an airboat through the Everglades is simply something everyone should experience at least once. This tour is really worth it!

While in the Fort Lauderdale area awaiting departure of our cruise ship to points south, my traveling companions and I opted for an air boat tour of the nearby Everglades. We chose Blackwater Airboat Tours based on written recommendations and were well please. "Captain Gerald" (Motes?) was our personable guide with a knowledge about the 'Glades that was extensive. We enjoyed his showing off his home - a fish camp - that he built himself on a man-made island. The tour was supposed to be two hours but the Captain extended that substantially. Great trip worth every penny of the cost!

We had no idea booking this tour that we were getting Captain Gerald, who actually lives in the Everglades! He was very knowledgeable about the area and was kind enough to give us a tour of his home, the Old Glory camp. His enthusiasm for the area and the wildlife cannot be trapped or caged! We didn't get to try them, but we heard that he has the best recipe for frog legs. Maybe next time he will share some with us. Very memorable experience for our whole group--ranging from age 7 to 50.

Capt Jason

Was on time and worth the money for private tour of the Florida Everglades and would stop often when he saw something or if I saw something then took the time to explain in great detail about the Everglades and all of its wildlife. Also stop to pick up Mylar balloons that landed in the Everglades which are never good for the wildlife that call it home. We did manage to see Alligators, Turtle, and so many different species of birds. Then came the chance to steer the Air Boat which he makes look easy, well all I can say is some of the saw grass is flatten a little more than normal.

Thanks Jason for a great time!
