We visited Devil's Den on a Friday towards the end of the day, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. I highly recommend renting wet suits if you want to spend more than 10 minutes in there. It was late, towards closing, but we were planning to BBQ on the property. They allowed us to do that. We had... More

Only a mile from Blue Grotto this is another cool dive spot. It is definitely worth going to. It does get crowded especially with snorkelers. Dive first thing before the snorkelers invade. Bring a high lumen flashlight as it does get dark. It was well kept. We decided to camp at Blue Grotto instead but there were several camp areas... More

I had a wonderful time staying in the cabins and snorkeling with my family at Devil's Den. You get to have the unique experience of swimming in a crystal clear, underground Florida Aquifer with sunlight shining down from the ceiling. This isn't a large commercial attraction but a real opportunity to explore a prehistoric geological site. I see some of... More

Unless you go there to scuba dive, DONT GO! It's a rip off! You can only see a hole in the ground!! They don't let you go down the stairs to see the water unless you pay to scuba dive! $5 per person just to walk around their not well kept property. Not worth the ride! Disappointed! Sad!

Beautiful, ethereal experience! Arrive early in the day to enjoy the den without a crowd. We choose wetsuits and stayed in the water for hours! Those who did not use wetsuits had short swim sessions as the water is a chilly 72 degrees year round. Words cannot describe the beauty! Friendly staff & good value! Will definitely return!

This is the only business I've ever seen that kicks out potential customers off their property. If you don't buy a ticket to snorkel or scuba dive, they'll kick you off their property and not even let you look around. This place needs to be shut down and turned into a state park.

My husband, 17 year old step son, 16 year old niece and her 16 year old friend and my 10 year old son went camping at this location and checked out Devil's Den. My only disappointment was the campsite. I was a little disappointed about the camp site because it was small so if you are going camping get there... More

Last leg of a Full Florida Stakeout was spent at "Duffy's Pub" located on US Highway.40 east Dunnellon Fl. The best in Ocala ! While spending my last few days in Florida, i wanted a special place to visit. The Devil's Den provided me just that ! One hot day for a great adventure into a prehistoric cave ! The... More

Despite living in Florida for 40 years, I had never heard of this place until my kids read about it online. On our recent road trip from south Florida to Tallahassee, we detoured 30 minutes off I-75 to check it out. Unlike many natural attractions, this one is not inside a state or federal park, but is on private property.... More
