It is a place all families visiting Gainesville need to visit... Lot of quite places to walk and enjoy the time waiting to go deep in water.. the main point is to arrive early to make sure of your chances to enter the devil's Den..

We drove from Orlando to visit the site and when we got there, the wait was 3 hours!! I recommend you plan something else for the day because when it's your turn, you won't spend more than 20-30min in the cave.

Our experience at the devil’s den was wonderful. We arrived at the park around 12:30, at first we were worried that we wouldn’t have enough time to enjoy the water since our group of 6 didn’t get called in until 4:30 and the park was...More

Came to the den to take my final dive certification dives. The staff has been very helpful. The facilities were good. There was plenty of space designated for scuba divers to place our gear. Definitely enjoyed the visit. I will definitely be back.

I have spent time swimming and snorkeling in many of Florida's springs by far Devil's Den is in a class of its own. Approximately half an hour outside of Gainesville the spring is underground in a limestone cave that has an opening in the ceiling...More

We decided to visit Devil's Den while out touring the area via motorcycles. We had not been since we were children. The Den is still very unique and worth the time to visit and experience. They appeared to be in the process of making some...More

The cabins hold 4 people and are nicely appointed with kitchen and TV. One full sized bed downstairs and 2 twin beds upstairs. The view from the cabin was great and we took several hikes through the woods. The cavern water is only 72 but...More

Its not attached to an above ground free flowing river. Its a sink hole/spring attached to Florida's aquifer.

Nope no gators here... While alligators do frequent MANY springs, those are typically rivers, and/or spring fed ponds & lakes where there tend to be more dark, secluded, murky spots.
