Founded in 1961, the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens holds an art collection focusing primarily on American representational sculpture, with over 200 works by Czech-born American sculptor Albin Polasek. The museum also offers guided tours of the historic Polasek residence and chapel, an outdoor sculpture garden and a gift shop. The museum is the retirement home of 2004 Artists Hall of Fame recipient Albin Polasek, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of only 30 members of the National Trust’s Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios.

Just by luck went to the Polasek Museum and Sculpture Garden as they were wrapping up a week of Winter Park Paint Out event. The works were displayed throughout the museum, with the artists there to discuss their work. What a treat! Then...out to the...More

The guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the artist and his life. Beautiful setting. Lovely views. Winter Park is a lovely community and the shops and restaurants are great too. Makes a great day trip Signage to find the museum could be a bit better

Be sure to see the Polasek Home and notice his amazing hand carved nativity! Lovely grounds and on a pretty Florida day a great spot for shutterbugs.

this studio/home/garden evokes the spirit of an inspiring life. albin polasek came to this country as an anonymous immigrant and became a celebrated sculptor. a stroke paralyzing him on one side did not stop him from continuing along this path.

Hi Renee, If you head east from the museum (turning left instead of right when you leave), you'll find plenty other restaurant options.

It was $4 for seniors. I believe the admission price is on their website. It's often under "Plan your visit."
