Move over Boaty McBoatface! The Captain Gabby is a charming and beautiful repurposed shrimp boat; perfect for taking a tour of scenic marshscapes and barrier islands with your friends and family. I went with some of my close family for a birthday day trip and it was a great experience providing lifelong memories. The crew are super friendly, knowledgeable and... More

Our family recently sailed for the second time aboard the Gabby......an old converted shrimp boat. We took our two teen age sons and one of their friends on a seagoing adventure that none will forget. Our crew was wonderful.....we shared our meals with them and after three days they felt like family. Although the quarters are tight (that's part of... More

Spent a weekend with friends on Captain Gabby and it was a unique, relaxing and fun experience. We kayaked all 3 days and did a nature hike as well. The staff (Cindy and Moss) couldn't have been more friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable or helpful from the initial stages of planning to the weekend itself. We chose to have them provide food... Four of us took a day trip, chartering the Capt. Gabby for a trip around Sapelo Island and Blackbeard Island. Our captain for the day, Willy, was friendly, easygoing, and knowledgable, as was our hiking/kayaking guide, Matt. We had a short hike on Blackbeard, along the beach at the north end and then to the old crematorium. Then we got... More

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our 4 day/3 night cruise adventure. We spent our active time kayaking, hiking the barrier islands, picture taking and fishing. During our down time we spent it watching out for birds, gators and dolphins; not to for the wonderful sunsets with an adult beverage. The crew's accommodating service and great food just added... We took a 3-day trip in November. We were concerned because the forecast called for wind. But, with the boat, you can paddle downwind and have the boat pick you up! No paddling upwind! We bought oysters and had oyster roasts, hiked on several of the islands, and had a great time. My youngest son went fishing and crabbing with... More

This was one of the most unusual and lovely trips I've been on. Sleeping, dining, and kayaking aboard and from a rustic but refurbished shirmp boat was such a unique, quirky, and fun experience. We absolutely loved it! The sleeping quarters are a tad snug but comfortable and added to the fun. A fan was included for the warmer months.... More

Had an absolutely wonderful time on our 3 day adventure with some old college friends. Kayaking, hiking the barrier islands, fishing ,watching wonderful sunsets with an adult beverage, was an awesome experience. The crew's accommodating service and great food just added to the enjoyment of all. My wife and I still chuckle when looking at the pictures that were taken... More

Fabulous afternoon aboard the Capt. Gabby! Our family (4 adults, 1 child) had a private 3 hour tour and loved every minute of it! Lunch is provided - all sorts of sandwich makings and chips, just bring a cooler with your beverages of choice! Great photo ops on the ride from Brunswick to SSI - pass the lighthouse, bridge to...
