Nothing fancy - just that magnificent old tree. Fun to see. It sits in the middle of a residential street, and is cared for, which was nice to see as well.

No stranger to enormous live oaks (now living in northeast Florida), I was impressed by its massiveness, perhaps second only to the live oak at the Cummer's Museum in Jacksonville, FL. The Lover's Oak deserves a side-trip if you are in the Brunswick area. Living...More

Located in the middle of a neighborhood, on an oversized median, this tree is a one-of-a-kind. So huge, it has "trunk steps " leading up the tree. Easy to climb for pictures.

It looks like any other large live oak. The lovers part I didn't get. Close by is the waterfront, keep going until you find it. There are many interesting thigs there.

This was a rare treat for me. Oak trees don't get nearly as big back home. We had to stop to take a few photos. I'm glad they built the road around it to preserve it.
