Campsites are a little too close together for my taste but Moccasin Creek State Park is a well run and nicely maintained campground worthy of 5 stars. My group of 10 and I enjoyed our experience there immensely. The staff is friendly and very helpful....More

Pardon my lack of reference having never visited a US camp ground, but my overall experience of Moccasin Creek was positive. The stands were each able to take a couple of tents and a truck and had water and electric hook ups. Wifi was available...More

Beautiful place and hatchery is nice visit especially with kids. Lake is beautiful. Ponds for kids and trout stream restricted to young and old only. Public boat launch with single ramp and limited parking.

Really well maintained and beautiful grounds. Sites are pretty close together but neighbors are always friendly. Some pretty tight rules about fishing and swimming (no fishing in the creek if you're under 65 or over 11, no swimming anywhere) but its very quiet and peaceful....More

Great place to visit whether you are overnight or just for the day. Very peaceful and family oriented. Two adults here and we walked all over and just sat and relaxed. Will be back very soon.

By far our favorite state park! Very relaxing and with the campground being on Lake Burton and their catfish ponds on site AND trout streams near by this is a fisherman's paradise, they even have a fish cleaning station inside the campground.
