The preserve is a great area for the family to spend the afternoon. You can hike the mountain or explore around the visitors center. My daughter enjoyed the small library. We also feed ducks, turtles and built fairy houses.

Sawnee Mountain is always a good quick hike if all you need is to stretch your legs a bit or are taking little ones along. If you want to do some training it’s an easy loop with alternative routes to repeat as desired.

Excellent place to hike or walk. The trails are well maintained and the views are lovely. There are areas to picnic and clean bathroom facilities.

For being so close to metro-Atlanta, the hike is pleasant and not difficult, the view is beautiful. Well traveled, not overly crowded trail.

Well kept trails and lots of different access points for a good (up and down) hike. Distance isn't super long, but the elevation is good to get the blood flowing!

Hi. It is a hike to the view from the top. If you are going to do the walk, start from the parking lot on Tribble Gap Road, and not the visitor's center.
