This is a Great park for hiking or taking in the view of the falls. It wasn't crowded when we visited in September but I'm sure as we get closer to fall it will be popular.

A $5 State Park fee gives you 3 ways to enjoy amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the longest waterfall in Georgia. Drive the park road to the top and enter the Lodge's viewing area for a long view of the mountains. Walk...More

On a nice day you will be among throngs! It's hard to find any wilderness here, but it's a good place to see the gorge and hike up and down on busy paths.

Beautiful scenery abd the restaurant is quite nice with pretty decent food. We were there on Labor Day and it was very crowded at the falls. The restaurant had a buffet that was nice. Well worth the drive if you are in the area.

I had the pleasure of going to Amicalola Falls multiple times when I lived in the region and every time was fantastic. You can either park at the bottom and climb the over 100 stairs, or you can drive straight to the top. The hike...More

Very fun place to get out and explore. There are a few parking areas and various trails all around the mountain, a few that take you all the way up to the gorgeous falls. But there is a shorter paved (ADA/stroller) path that you can...More

While driving back to Atlanta, my husband found this place while searching for the alternative visiting points. Vs Great Smoky, Amicalola Falls is not very popular but a place that should be seen. The falls is very interesting that you don't expect a place like...More

Beautiful falls, great hiking trails. Lots of walking but worth it! The scenery is gorgeous especially early in the morning over the valley.

This a must see waterfall if you're in the area! There are great photo opportunities on the trail up to the waterfall, including on the platform halfway up, right in front of the waterfall. From the platform, you can climb up to the lodge at...More

Took my 3 kids and 2 big dogs to the falls. We parked at the bottom and took the rocky hiking trail up. I took a bottle of water for the dogs and had to fight the kids off with promises of water at the...More

Not a great place to bring dogs if you plan on hiking to top of falls. A good portion of path is rocky and would be hard on paws. If you use the metal mesh stairs when the temperature is high, it would be painful for your... More
