We tent camped here and really enjoyed the scenery. Camp sites were well maintained and though the bathrooms were a bit of a trec, they were also clean and well maintained.

I tent camped at the park with my daughter's American Heritage Girls troop. They had so much fun riding their bikes and scooters around the camp ground, making smores, and sleeping in tents! They also enjoyed earning their archery badge. The program they have here for teaching all ages to shoot archery is impressive. They are focused on safety and are quite passionate about the sport and it shows. The park managers (and campground hostess) take pride in their camp and are shining examples of southern hospitality. If you have any size group that need to unplug and have fun, I recommend this place and their archery program.

Everyone was friendly! The sites are clean, and far enough apart to be private. The bath houses are old but clean. Great shelter for groups the lake is beautiful from nearly all sites.

Bobby Brown Park (formerly Bobby Brown State Recreation Area and Bobby Brown State Park) is now reopened as an Elbert, County, GA park! The park had been closed, but reopened in 2015 and is once again vibrant and beautiful. The Savannah River and Broad River campgrounds are open, and the Savannah River Campground is open year round. The group shelter is reopened and dedicated as the Danny Guthrie Pavilion and is available for large parties, weddings, family reunions and other gatherings. The Pioneer Campground has also been reopened. Boat ramps, docks, and piers are available for fishing. The picnic area has 2 large shelters for gatherings and many picnic tables.

We would love to see this park renovated. It is a huge and beautiful facility, just not a lot of recreation for the kids (I'm speaking of swimming of course). If you just want to rest and relax, this is the place. Very quiet and peaceful! We loved the camphosts, Tony & Barbara. They were very accomodating & friendly! We will visit again, real soon!

This is where we had our family reunion and I remember visiting the zoo area and then sitting down to a healthy meal with family and friends. The park is so enchanting and I can't wait to go back there again. The people were so nice and it is somewhat a quiet place too. I will remember that we grilled a turkey or two. I think if we go back again, I will suggest we grill a pig and barbecue it!

Bobby Brown State Park has many regular visitors who have been using the facility for a long time but the park is at an age and stage that improvements are overdue.

I remember our very last family reunion at this park, we had a fabulous time and all of the food was delightful. I walked around some and enjoyed the green scenery and the fish.

Due to budget cuts, this is no longer a state park and is not regularly staffed. The campground is open seasonally for self-registration. There is a boat ramp and fishing pier.
