My wife and I nearly dropped meat entirely after watching the aweful documentary about our food industry... You know the one. Our initial searches for grass fed organic meat didn't pan out then we found Mountain Valley. We haven't purchased meat from a grocery store since. Great folks and a fun visit for kids.

Beware of reviews from city folks who have never seen a real farm or eaten organic meats at reasonable cost. Nor is this is not a great place for children who want a petting area with farm animals. Better to wait until October and go to one of the big apple houses on Hwy 52 East that have them for... More

This is always my husbands first stop when we arrive in town. The highlight of our trip is the night we enjoy these amazing grass fed ribeyes that we get from here. (They ship now too!) The kids love going because they have fantastic ice cream and a small area where you can see their goats and several free roaming... More

Great visit to a working farm. The animals were enjoyed by kids and myself!! They have fresh cow milk, but the spare ribs and ribeye that I grilled were about amazing!!! Enjoyed it!!

This is one of the biggest dairy/chicken farms in Gilmer County. Several years ago Mrs. Wright began growing and selling heritage animals and the meat is wonderful. Animals grown the old fashioned way and you cannot beat the taste.

This is a real family owned and operated farm. They have a country store their where they sell wonderful, local foods. They have fresh eggs and meat all for sale, but the best part to me is the animals that you can pet and watch. Kids love these! Big kids and small ones :) .

The drive to the farm store was beautiful & allowed us to enjoy the farm country. The staff were incredibly courteous & helpful. We had many questions about their products & how well they would "keep" during our drive home. We purchased meat, cheese, butter, & goat milk soap. The butter was delicious on a slice of warm bread &... More

Let me start by saying that the folks are AWESOME here. They are very helpful and informative. We were a little disappointed that it really isn't a petting zoo for the kids. Yes, they can reach through the fence and pet, but not go in. You can't feed them either. We purchased some meat (haven't cooked it yet) except for... More

This is a wonderful spot for adults and children. The meat is grass fed, and yes, there is a difference in the taste. The ice cream is wonderful. The store is clean, staff friendly. There are animals outside that the children love to "visit" (adults too). In spring the trees are beautiful. I wish they were closer, but it is... More
