Absolutely love this place. Some of the most beautifully unusual trees I've ever seen. Fabulous Home and gardens. Great coffee/gift shop too.

I actually love Huntington castle , love the gardens , the tea rooms and the castle , I hope this is my wedding venue some day , the pig and peacock are attractions in themselves , the castle is so well preserved and the tour is a must to learn more about the family's history

We have visited Huntington Castle twice. Nice little coffee shop in the courtyard. We did the tour of the house on the first visit - interesting but nothing outstanding and the "Temple" downstairs was a little weird. But friendly host/tour guide. Nice relaxing tables outside with lovely dogs and farm animals wandering around.

Really interesting gardens in process of being fully restored. Much potential realised thus far. Quirky in places but overall very pleasant indeed. Excellent toot in the shop (i speak as expert surveyor) & giant pot of tea to be had too. When we later mentioned where'd we'd visited to the family whose wedding we'd attended in Leitrim it turned out... More

I had seen this in the Discover Ireland handbook for Ireland's East & South pocket guide described as a 17th century castle and gardens. Though I didn't tour in the interior of the castle, the grounds were beautiful an so peaceful and relaxing. Shortly after I stepped into the gardens from the courtyard, the sun banished the dark clouds and... More

Alex and his team welcomed the Carlow / Kilkenny Beaver troop to the castle for a spooky tour. With over 160 beavers attending the event was flawless. From meeting Alex to discuss the large group booking, arranging tours, the smooth operation on the night, it was a pleasure. The tours were absolutely brilliant and we all had such fun. Even... We arrived in time to enjoy a tour of the castle, which we enjoyed. Afterwards we checked out the gift shop and had a great visit (with a lot of laughs) with a couple people who work there. We also had a nice visit with the owner, Alex, while we were there. We walked around the grounds through the various... More

We visited and paid 16 Euro to see the gardens and we weren't allowed into them as there was a wedding on at the front of the house.so we got to see some greenhouses and a weird unsafe walk down to the old pump house.this place is not for children at all.you to have to walk through an open field... Hi Aishlingmca, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience here - just to clarify for any other readers: the garden and playground prices are €2.50 for a child and €5.00 for an adult. If someone was having wedding photographs at the front of the Castle then that does not mean the gardens are closed, and guests... More
