I took the pups with me for a nature walk in early spring. The park itself would have been fabulous if it hadn't been for a noisy and boisterous group of campers that showed up to walk the trail just as we arrived. I don't...More

This park is a great place to bring the whole family. Beautiful views, great hiking, dog friendly -- all around a lot of fun. Very easy to get to and not nearly as crowded as I expected.

This is a nice small state park with boat docks at the quiet end of the lake. Has hiking trails and picnic areas. During the season there is camping both tent and campers.

First I'll mention the assets. There are a lot of waterfront campsites which would allow you to pull a boat right up to your own campsite. The town of Hartwell is very close by, so that can be a big convenience. Now the deficits. The...More

We were here a few weeks ago just to lay on the grass by the lake and relax. It was quiet and peaceful but that will change as it gets hotter. It's not a state Park anymore. No lifeguard on duty. The bottom of the...More

We have camped at Hart State park since I was a child. It has always been one of my favorite places to camp. This trip was not like I had remembered.... Pros: the sites are great, waterfront sites are actually waterfront with access to the...More

The Hart State Park is right down the street from the power plant (no, you can't hear it) and is a nice small park with tables, a boat ramp and dock, bathrooms, a playground, and abundant access to the water. There is no cost and,...More

It's always fun to camp on Lake Hartwell. Hart State Park has great amenities. You can walk or bike around the park. Our kids ski, kayak or swim. We always have a great time

The cabins aren't open anymore. Such a waste. Hopefully that will change in very near future.
