This was our first visit to High Falls. We just bought our first camper. From the front desk to the camp host everyone was so helpful. Cybele at the front desk was so kind. Our camp host, Chuck and Robin, made us feel right at home. They shared so many camping tips to make it a breeze. We had trouble... More

There are 2 areas to choose from for RV camping. The lakeside or river side camping areas. Both very nice. You can access high falls state park easily on line and the site is very informative. The state park takes reservations and you'll want to make sure you have a reservation if you intend to stay here. It is a... More

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at the river side campground. Very friendly and helpful camp host named Lindy. Office and park staff were very friendly. Grounds and bath houses well maintained. Nice day park area. Nice swimming pool for the summer. Plenty of places to hike. Beautiful lake for fishing, kayaking, etc. Campsites by the river are good... More

Visited over the weekend with our family crew- 3 toddlers in the mix. The trail we chose wasn't crazy long, but it had a lot of boulders, a few steep spots, and some tree roots around, so while my kids can usually wander themselves they needed help a good bit and tuckered out quickly. Overall it was a great spot... More

Clean, busy park. Water is low, as is true in many areas in GA. We tent camped. We were late arriving, so I called before closing to get instructions. Though I was told I would get a gate code after checking in, another employee called later to give me the needed code before check in so we could get into... More

It is a beautiful place to give a quick stop and get nice pictures. Just it. Very rustic. September month with a few water.

I understand that this park cannot control the fact that there is no water at the Falls, however I found the park to be pretty boring, and nothing to really do. They have a pool and trails to walk/hike, but I was not impressed at all. The campgrounds are small meaning the campsites are close to each other. We camped... More

The Falls Are BONE DRY. Drought For A Couple Of Weeks. I have been photographing these falls for 15 years and I have never seen it look so bad as it did on Friday September 9, 2016. Very disappointing.

This is our weekly go to place after dinner at home. A nice stroll for the chihuahua and excellent Pokemon Go spot for unusual creatures. Haven't been on the lake yet with the boat. You can obtain your annual parking pass at this location. Nice areas for picnics, playground, group shelter etc.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon August for some hiking. Fortunately it was overcast and just a little drizzly: in other words, perfect conditions for following trails. There are 2 trails, one marked 1.5 miles and the other 2.5. Sometimes they are fairly easy, but at other times it takes a bit more finesse because it's more technical. Do bring... More
