So fun to see the green sea turtles and loggerheads being rehabilitated. The shop is filled with great 'nature' gifts and the center is very well run. We watched a surgeon operating on a rattlesnake which was fascinating. Wonderful educational place for kids too. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable.

What a fabulous Center for education and helping to save the turtles. We would recommend this to anyone visiting Jekyll Island and encourage people to help the cause!

These professionals take care of such an important part of our wildlife system. It's amazing they open the doors to the public to show their important work and their beautiful patients. Every year we come we learn something new. We did the behind the scenes tour and really got to connect with the turtles and even a couple of snakes.... More

A sea turtle hospital where many are rescued and operated on if needed after being injured. Eventually they are released back into the wild. It is very educational for any age There is an admission charge of $7 for adults but worth it.

It's a small quaint exhibit that is very informative. My six year old son was throughly entertained. It took about an hour to do all the activities and see the Turtle tanks. It's definitely worth stopping to see.

Make sure to get the behind the scenes tour. They will take you into the operating room for animals (not just turtles). They operate on snakes sometimes too. We got to see a undernourished turtle Beach tube fed. Then they washed sand out of a little hatchlings eyes. They were adorable. We saw a very large turtle in a tub.... More

Our visit was fun and educational. We got to see sea turtles up close and there were abundant volunteers available to answer any questions.

The sea turtles were nesting and laying their eggs on Jekyll Island this past weekend, so everyone was excited about the annual event! The Sea Turtle Center was a very informative place to visit to learn about the sea turtles and their habitat.

This is a very nice center that not only is a museum, but a place where turtles are medically cared for who need medical attention. They have huge turtles there and interesting information on all turtles. Great place for kids.
