Please know that we have recently changed the name of our museum to BIBLICAL HISTORY CENTER. We wanted a clearer name to depict who we are and what exactly we do. Nothing else about the museum has changed aside from our name. We are currently in the process of switching over the TripAdivsor page information. Please bare with us as we make that transition.** Our mission at the Biblical History Center is to help people experience the ancient biblical world, its history, and culture. We have an Archaeological Replica Garden with life-size replicas of archaeological digs including a typical house, Roman step theater, goat hair tent, tombs, and more. Our Biblical Life Artifacts Gallery houses 250 artifacts from Israel and is one of seven of its kind in the world! We also have fun activities available for kids and teens. Reservations are required for most activities.

This small site reproduces some of the features found in the Holy Land at the time of Jesus. They have a shepherd's tent, a sheepfold, a model house, a threshing floor, a wine and a olive press, a watch tower and a grain mill. I just had a short visit but would come again.

The widowed ladies group from our home church came here a few months ago. We weren't aware of the Center until then. We came as part of an anniversary trip. A very well kept secret. I was more than amazed. Plan to come back to some of the planned tour/group events, lectures, etc. Dr. Fleming has an amazing life story.... More

Recently I accompanied a group on the Shepherd's Walk at the BHC. We learned about the geography of the area around Jerusalem and some history of life during the time of the Roman Empire. We made bread and had tea, we learned more about the everyday life of people who lived long ago. Our shepherd and guide, Hannaniah, was very... More

We read about this place before we came to LaGrange and were intrigued. We have visited Israel and some places that try to create the mood of Israel Stateside that were woefully missing the mark. BUT The Biblical History Center definitely hit the mark. Even in Israel most of the artifacts in the museums are replicas, this place also had... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our museum! Glad you enjoyed the artifacts gallery. There's actually over 250 artifacts from Israel in there! We are one of seven museums in the entire world to have a long-term collection of artifacts from the Israeli Antiquity Authority, and our 250 item collection is the largest collection in the USA. It's... More

My mother and I visited the Biblical History Center with a travel group from my church. We both found the entire visit fascinating! Our tour guide, Oliver, was incredible - well-informed, humorous and just generally a wonderful experience himself. We participated in a Seder meal and the food was delicious and very varied. The accompanying information provided by Oliver was... More

For those interested in the history of the Jews, this is a must see. It is a walk through the ancient days of Israel as presented to my knowledge, no where else. A great way to spend the day if you are in the area.

Saw this place on Trip Advisor for things to see in LaGrange. It is a very interesting place, although much smaller than we had hoped for the $15 admission fee. Would probably have been more interesting had we went on a guided tour and had the meal. There was a group of older ladies that had done both and seemed... More

Thanks for your review! We do recommend making a reservation ahead of time so that you can have a tour guide. When you come again, give us a call at 706-885-0363 to set up your booking. It'll be an entirely... More

I found this on trip advisor when my husband and I were looking for something to do today, to enjoy the first cool-ish Saturday we have had. We live about 40 minutes away, and felt that was a reasonable drive. This place had SO much to see and learn, even before you got in the front doors. We didn't arrange... More
