The history provided by the husband and wife team was very interesting. They were both very knowledgeable about the history of the house and the families who had lived at Bellevue. The house is a beautiful example of antebellum architecture. While the house does not contain many historically significant pieces the history and stories provided by the husband and wife... More

Those who enjoy seeing and learning the history around charming Antebellum mansions will not be disappointed with Bellevue. At $5.00 a head to get in alone makes it worth stepping inside to look around. The icing on the cake is the informative tour offered by a sweet couple who know their stuff and share it with enthusiasm. You will be... More

It's too bad this organization doesn't have an advertising budget because this was one of the best historical tours I've ever taken. Thankfully, one of my friends found information about it on my recent visit. The couple that conducts the tours also lives there, and there probably isn't anything about the house or its history that they don't know. The... More

The husband/wife team who conduct the tours are very friendly and knowledgable - learned a lot! Nothing in the house is roped off but no photos are allowed indoors. You need to allow about an hour and a half for your visit.

We spent a couple hours soaking in as much information as possible from the very knowledgeable couple who live in the house and run the tours. We went with our 9 year old son and 1 year old daughter. The tour was super relaxed, which was great for our young children. We were the only ones there at that time... More

My Wife and I had a great time visiting this historic home. The live in tour guides were fantastic and really brought the home's history to life. We learned a lot about life in the Civil War Era in LaGrange Georgia. Definitely worth the visit.

I am bias in my review, as any old piece of architecture will receive a 5 star rating. They had a nice amount of parking, the grounds and home were beautiful and the history was exciting to learn (at least for a history major like me!) My 2 year old enjoyed the scenery and didn't get too antsy.

I was so impressed with both the home and the excellent presentation by the live-in Guides. It was clear they were both fascinated by the history surrounding the home. Their presentations were punctuated with additional historical facts, pictures, and artifacts that helped one understand the grand home's place in the history of both Georgia and the United States. The house... More

Historical and well preserved home of Benjamin Harvey Hill. Went to see re-enactment of Nancy Harts. Female defenders of LaGrange during civil war. Great story.
