Great park, most sites on the lake. Premium sites now have cable. Restrooms were very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again.

Let me start by saying Elijah Clark is a lovely park with many cabins and camp sites. The staff are wonderful. BUT...we reserved a cottage for the whole weekend. The cottage was very spacious but VERY outdated and it was pretty dirty. From the looks of it, the cleaning staff is in and outvwith minimal cleaning done. When we entered our cottage we saw several large dead roaches in which we had to hunt for a broom and dustpan to be able to remove them before our one year old crawler found them as a crunchy little appetizer. We had the forethought to bring Clorox wipes to wipe down the counters which had tiny dead flies on it. The outdated woodframed furniture had very worn cushions on it and the armrests were very sticky as if the finish had begun to break down. Fortunately we had the forethought to bring the babies walker. The floors "looked" clean but once you walked on it in stocking feet or barefooted, you found out there is a fine layer of filth. We put the baby down for a crawl later on and his knees and feet BECAME BLACK. We love this park but really wish that the cleaning crew would put forth some effort. There was a ring in the toilet, soap scum in the tub, cobwebs on and window frames, the intake filter for the A/C was full. We brought our own kitchenware. The paint has begun to peel in the bathroom. There was nothing in the cottage for us to use to mop the floor and we had to go off site to buy a Swiffer and we went through 12 pads in one pass. If we could have found a sponge mop and bleach we would have give the whole cottage a good cleaning, but there's not many places near by.

Spent a beautiful Saturday and the whole family enjoyed the place. $5 admission to get in is well worth it.. Nice little beach with picnic area next to it. canoe rentals and boat ramp on site. As a history buff, I enjoyed going to the grave of Revolutionary War General, Elijah Clarke and visiting his reproduction homestead=very nice. Hiking trails looked good. Camp ground appeared to be quite busy. We loved the refurbished mini golf course. 18 holes, and some were quite challenging. club and ball rental available, but if you bring your own you can play for free.. Very clean park-- will be back to maybe camp next time!

We booked Cottage #7, (accessible cottage) for a Fall Foliage Getaway, and to see dear friends nearby. They were the ones who recommended this beautiful state park. Check-in and front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating. The wild, natural environment suited us to a "TEE" with deer grazing in the meadows, and a beautiful lake setting, right behind our cottage. It was clean, well equipped with everything we needed (except food) for our 4 day stay. The cottages were all separate from each other, not crowded together - making for privacy - Ours was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, with large living room, and large kitchen. Plenty of room to spread out, and No Pets and No Smoking, which made for a pleasant experience. There were a few things that we had to mention to the front desk that needed attention (kitchen faucet leaked/dripped constantly, shower drain clogged, freezer of refrigerator smelled bad, and shower controls were hard to get adjusted). All in all, however, we would stay here again, when we are in this area again. Lake is right at the back door, so we were ready to drop a line, but turned out too cold and rainy.

Stayed 3 of our 4 reserved nights in # 56 - the last waterfront one on that leg of the loop. A little tight with trees but doable with our small TT. Campground filled on Halloween weekend and many were very cutely decorated. Bath house near us was older and fairly clean - and heated !! On check in day we had only come 27 miles from Mistletoe and had left there early due to a nasty incoming storm which wound up mostly staying south. At any rate the sweet staff at EC let us move in early - esp since our site was empty the previous night. Weather was chilly and drizzly 3 of our 4 days - final day was sunny but windy and cold so us wimpy Floridians bugged out a day early.

We rented cabin #1 at Elijah Clark State Park. The screened-in porch faces the water and sunrise (cabins 1-10 face sunrise, cabins 15-20 face sunset. Not sure about cabins 11-14). Great boating and good hiking trails. No biking trails. We launched our kayak in front of our cabin, but if the water levels were any lower it'd be difficult (plenty of boat launches around). Turkeys and deer passed near our cabin. Inside the cabin was clean with the exception of kitchen supplies/dishes/pans (responsibility of the renters to clean them). Overall the park was pretty quiet for a weekend.

Great place to set up home for a long weekend or even along vacation. Lake is clean with great fishing. There are lake front sites and non lake sites. Bath houses are always clean and stocked.
The kids loved to go to the volleyball court and the beach area.

A good tent experience, not great. The walk in tent sites are good. #’s 1-4 are on the water and are great. Sites 5-10 are marginal at best. They are small and somewhat sloped towards the water. I was camping in #1 and it rocked! It was flat and right next to the water. No TP in bathroom:(

We really loved our trip here. Never used the facilities but heard they were clean and not jenky. We had campsite 5 on Campground 1 as reservation woman told us Campground 1 was a bit nicer than Campground 2. The campsites are fairly close to each other but it didn't bother us at all. I would recommend a site in one of the coves as the wind can get strong on the open peninsula. We swam and fished just steps from our campsite. They do have a putt-putt golf course there but it's in kinda rough shape. TIP: Look up The Golf Cart Lady either online or when you are there and rent a golf cart to tool around the campground and don't want to bike to the beach, mini golf, reception lodge, etc. Was about $100 per day but well worth it and she delivers it right to your camp site. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

This review is based solely on the WALK-IN TENT SITES.
We have visited other GA state parks and their walk-in sites and there is ample distance between sites, they're private, they're off along a trail in a beautiful setting in the wilderness (even if it's only a quarter mile or so from the parking lot). This is NOT that setting.
The walk-in tent area appears to be a converted picnic area - heck, there is STILL a picnic shelter and picnic tables intermixed in the camping area. To create "sites" they added tent pads & fire rings to picnic table settings. They are spaced about 25 yards apart. There are sparse tall trees with the limbs pruned all the way up - there are no shrubs and zero privacy between sites or picnic area.
We didn't stay and won't be back.

Tie them off to a tree and they aren't going anywhere. No one's ever messed with ours while at the campground. Even when we've not been on waterfront site and still left boat on shore.
