It's currently being renovated. I've been there when this building was open and today when it was moved to the history center next door. The staff is wonderful. And the brochures give you many great ideas for things to do in the area. Nice bathroom stop too.

The staff is helpful and it's fun to realize that you are in the spot where the Great Locomotive Chase began. It's very close to Marietta Square and all the shops and museums in the square area. This is good because the parking is free and so much is walkable.

...at the Marietta Visitors Center. The hosts at this charming old train depot situated right next to a very busy railroad track offer information, smiles, hospitality and occasionally, pastries donated by a bakery on the Marietta Square. The ladies who occupy the desk can guide guests to the best attractions on the Square and the racks are filled with brochures... More

Great place to stop by and get some information about the town and its history. The people at the welcome center are very nice and helpful to get you going around the area in no time. Pay them a visit, you won't regret it. Don't forget to get your tickets to visit the museums.
