Magnolia Springs State Park is a well-maintained state park. We camped in the campground in a tent, and we appreciated the amount of space between sites. We did notice that there is not a lot of shade over the sites--which may make a difference in comfort in the Georgia summers. The campground was peaceful and not rowdy at all. The... More

There are lots of places to picnic and plenty of things to keep the kids occupied (splash pad, playgrounds, open spaces, etc.) with most picnic shelters having water and a grill. The campground is nice, especially the "walk-in" campsites; you can drive your vehicle right up to one of the three relatively secluded sites. There is a fair amount of... More

Nice little park that you will blow right by if you aren't looking for it. A couple of nice trails. A small lake. Campgrounds. The centerpiece is the springs with 4 million gallons (read that in their brochure) of crystal clear water pouring out. And alligators sunning themselves. We saw 3 in the middle of January when the sun was... More

Arrived here from Michigan, 1st time at this GA park. Found it well maintained and the staff very cordial. It's not a large park in regards to campsites, but it has large picnic pavilions, ample day-use parking, hiking trails, ruins, a pond to paddle and explore....and some history. Campsites are large and well spaced out. The rest rooms were the... More

I have never been so poorly treated by the staff of a place where I was paying money to be there, never mind at a state park. Dear Magnolia State Park: If your activities are just for kids, you need to say so in the descriptions rather than letting adults sign up and then just ignoring them until they give... More

A few different hiking paths, lots of turtles- baby alligators too! Had a great time and if the kids had wanted to, there was a splash pad and playground.

This is a pretty small state park with cabins, small camp ground and primitive camping area. I have taken my Boy Scout troop there several times over the past 10 years. The park is beautiful and well cared for. The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. We always stay in the primitive area with our boy scouts and they... More
