Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was nice to see my boy enjoying the video footage of our country's dedication to win WWII.

For a relatively small museum .. it is one of best we've been to. Located just off of I95 in Georgia. You could easily spent 4 hours looking at films, plane exhibits, memorabilia, as well as listening be very knowledgeable tour guides. Pride and joy of Museum is a B17 that is currently being restored .. their goal is to... More

This place is amazing ! Another great thing about it is that no government money has ever been given to them. All of the material here was donated or loaned by the people or the families that were. members of the military during the war. It is a good half day experience the history is amazing ! This place i... More

My husband is retired Air Force and during our recent visit to Savannah insisted that he wanted to visit this museum. I "went along" and I am very glad I did. I learned so much about the role of this numbered Air Force and its role in WW II. The exhibits are clear and varied and the visitor is given... More

We stopped here on the way out of Savannah airport to Hilton Head. Very well done museum and history of the 8th AF, mostly around its role in WW2. Why here? It was first established in Savannah. Enjoy the "pub" for a snack or lunch - good not great but very hospitable!

Great place to visit as a couple or with kids. My dad was a member during WWII. All of these guys were heroes. Good educational value and the exhibits were great. Recommend for all to visit if going near.

I had some time before heading to the airport so I thought I would stop here to learn about the "Mighty Eighth" Air Corps. This is a great museum and they have a B-17 on display that has been restored. The famous Academy Award winning actor, Jimmy Stewart was a member of this unit and led bombing missions in WWII.... We, myself and 9 other gentlemen from my community, went to the Mighty Eighth Museum yesterday. We arrived early enough to have a well prepared lunch in the cafeteria before our scheduled tour. Our tour guide, Ed , explained that the tour would be about two (2) hours and what it would encompass. As we walked through the well designed... More

Pleasantly surprised as to how interesting this museum is. Museum is a great tribute to the men and women who fought for our freedom. Displays were well put together and informative. Would go back if visiting Savannah in the future. Well worth the price of admission.

Very well done, something for even non-air force or non-techies. My husband is the pilot, but I have enjoyed this both visits. This time, I was struck by the Safe House exhibit - reading all the personal stories of the "evaders" who hid the downed airmen at great danger to themselves and their families really struck home. They also have... More
