Ok, I confess that I didn't expect much from visiting here, but my hubby wanted to. . . . you know how that goes? Anyway, I was totally impressed and interested in the exhibits when I gave this place a chance. The exhibits are clearly presented, quite extensive, and well lighted. Inside the museum, various "rooms" tell our story, focusing... More

My husband is a huge WWII history buff so when he spotted this on the Savannah map we got at the visitors center, well, we had to go. The best way to see it is through a docent tour which starts at quarter past and 45 min past the hour. Our volunteer docent was able to add an entire level... More

This museum was very informative. Interactive displays were all functioning which made for a good experience. The guided part of the tour was very well done. The display about how the French resistance hid people was interesting. The outside memorial garden should not be missed.

I'm not a museum type, but this is a memorial to our men and women of WWII who sacrificed for our freedom. This museum is well done and paints a never thought of version of WWII. it is a great museum, lots of actual airplanes and war footage. My daughter who is 12 really enjoyed this. So did I.

This museum is stunning. Mostly indoor, so you can do it even in bad weather. Lots of exhibits, short films, volunteers that tell part of the story. An incredible amount of items related to WWI & WWII--including mock-ups of the safe houses used to hide downed airmen. A special section on women who flew back then, plans to expand and... More

We were in Savannah, and traveled the short distance to the Museum. Very nicely arranged exhibits and movies to explain the Mighty Eighth Air Force Missions. I especially enjoyed the Memorial Garden and Chapel. Be forewarned - the Museum is COLD. I was glad I brought a jacket.

We had a Groupon for admission but even if we hadn't this museum was definitely worth it. Memorial gardens and a chapel outside were lovely. The displays are interesting, well marked, and full of wonderful history. Such a great time. The employees were helpful and friendly. The gift shop had a nice selection and good prices so it was a...
