very historical place in behind mountains with cold weather u can find small river of natural water and some trees u can sit under trees and relax u can fin there 1 restaurant and one supermarket and public restroom and there i think there close at 4 pm

The now abandoned monastery is surrounded by a huge stone wall.The cruciform stone church is under restoration and the inside is closed to visit at this time. Free entrance .

The Monastery of Saint is an ancient Armenian monastery in the mountainous area of West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Saint Stepanos church is located in 15 Km north of Jolfa city.It was built in 17 century .you could buy ticket and visit inside of church .

it is a very nice church or Monastary. Very old and the path we went was full of trees and the spring on top of the hill was amazing.

This is a trip I would recommend taking. Made a day trip out of going to Jolfa and seeing this Monastery from Tabriz. The Monastery itself is quite old. it was April and the first time that i was in an active church, the way which leaded to the church were lined by trees all in blossom, white and pink.the weather was so pleasant that still i can feel it in my memory. the building of the church was just amazing, amazing, amazing...i couldn't believe that it was real...when... this is a grand church with lots of history behind it,... there are a few places you could visit on your way,... the scenery is magnificent in mid spring,... a rather popular place for picnics,... go there if you are in the area or you are interested in the history,...

Its some where out of access of destroyers. It seems they built it these last week. You will enjoy beautiful nature beyond. I also enjoy climbing the mountains beyond. peaceful.
