We just finished a Disney cruise and had 2 stops here. On the first stop I participated in the 5k race. This is one of my few complaints for the trip. The race was delayed almost 35 minutes and seemed disorganized there was little shade...More

We visited in March......we were so impressed! Beautiful beaches, everything was done amazingly. BBQ lunch was plentiful and nice. Loved the trams in case you were exhausted and didn't want to walk back to the ship. Highly recommend!

We were aboard the Dream from Jan 6-9,2017. What everyone knows is that Disney is expensive regardless what you are doing. This was even more so.... I have no problem with the ship, food, entertainment...You expect exceptional service and for the most part, that's what...More

Castaway Cay is Disney's private island. It is a great place for all ages. The beach is great. They boast enough beach chairs for every person to have two. The food is great and the service is also. Great family vacation stop!

We are taking our grandchildren with our daughter and her husband on the Disney Fantasy on July on a 7 day day cruise, stopping on Castaway Cay on the return. My husband is of Northern European descent and has pretty much a standing appointment with a dermatologist every two months for removal of basal cells/Squamish cells/melanoma that have appeared on his body. I was not lucky enough to be able to book a cabana since this is our first Disney cruise. What would be our best options to keep him off the sun as much as possible other than wearing hat/rash guards?

There is a lot of shaded areas. We had chairs under trees. Also, there are nice pavilions where they serve lunch. It is a beautiful place. Have a great time!
