Our extended family visited Fort Yargo State Park, paying just 5$ total to enter since we drove together in a minivan. We had our picnic supplies and ate down by the lake. The water was just perfect for swimming. Even though it was very hot,...More

We really enjoyed the "beach" and had a great time including the paddle boats. The park also has miniature golf, and other boats to rent. It is a wonderful place for a picnic, swimming, etc. Ft. Yargo is a lot different from other parks

Nice trails for all levels of bike riders. Would camp here but they require a 2 night stay minimum so we usually stay outside the park when we come to ride.

My sons cub scout group stayed at Fort Yargo twice a year. A multitude of things to do. There's canoeing, swimming, fishing, deer all over among other wild life. Hiking trails, biking trails & even frisbee golf.

It is a smaller state park, but for what it does they are great! Walking trails, camping areas, beach, picnic areas (all clean during our visit), just a nice place. Water is low at this time, and parking was a bit limited, but during the...More

This is a great little spot and pretty close to home. They have approximately 10 walk in campsites available on a first-come first serve basis. They do allow reservations, but do you want to get there early to get a good spot. I arrived at...More

You may be able to see the lake through the trees from some of them, but they are a hundred yards or so from the lake, with some woods between the cabins and the waterline. Cabin #13 probably has the best view of the lake... More

It is a gravel parking area is about 25-75 yards away from each of the spots. If you look at the map online for tent campsites, imagine the party. In the center. Not a bad walk at all
