My teen daughter likes coming here, so every once in a while we go. The displays are usually very good (FOUR stars), and we enjoy them. But at times I wish the help was a little more ... um ... helpful. I know it's not a place where guided tours are feeding us a bunch of information, but the last... More

I'm partial to art museums and glad my Boise host brought us here. There were a number of special and delightful exhibits including a folk art one, found objects, a ceramics exhibit and a wondeful exploration of wildflowers which included delicately executed pencil drawings and watercolors. My favorite pieces were a "tramp art" table elaborately constructed of tiny pieces of... More

I'm not a huge art museum gal, but this one was awesome. There was an origami display which blew my mind, a kids activity room, interactive displays with time-lapse videos and some really cool local and international paintings, ceramics etc. I was seriously impressed and couldn't believe hubby and I were there for well over 2 hours. It's also in... More

Some of the exhibits are amazing including the mythical animals traveling exhibit. It was interesting using the phone to call and find out more about the exhibit I was looking at. I was disappointed that I couldn't take any pictures in the sculpture garden. Plan to spend several hours there.

BAM is a wonderful museum with rotating exhibits that do not let down a viewer and a great permanent collection of ceramics and paintings. Fun museum store too. Went to a ticketed fashion art show event and that was a blast.

This was my first visit to the BAM. There were several exhibits. We looked at all but the children's area. Adonna Khare's exhibit, "The Kingdom" was the most enjoyable. She used carbon pencils to draw anything from small to wall-sized artwork. There is an incredible amount of detail in them, and each one is very humorous! Paul Vexler's "Ribbons" exhibit... More

Love to go here to see new art exhibits! As an artist myself - I get such enjoyment out of seeing the works of others. It inspires me to want to try different techniques. The visual experience is amazing, I look forward to each new visit. Discounts for Seniors and Veterans! Love this place and plan to get a membership.

I enjoyed the Boise art museum, I was on a trip traveling to museums all over the US. I found the exhibit f/64 to be amazing. Unfortunately I was unable to take photos at the museum which made the paper writing afterward a bit difficult. Good museum though
