This small bridge was built in 1931 and completely renovated in 2013; it is an attractive Art Deco bridge crossing of the Boise River. Given that it is a "memorial" bridge, any connection with the actual Oregon Trail is suspect at best. We crosses over...More

I've been over this bridge numerous times. It is right next to one corner of BSU and crosses both the river and the river trail. It is honestly nothing great to look at but I guess due to its age and the fact that it...More

I've run, walked and driven over this bridge. That it's an Oregon Trail Bridge is barely noticeable, and only if you read the plaque would you even notice it's anything more than a way to get over the river. Nothing architecturally spectacular or historically stunning...More

Well yes, it is a bridge, but take a moment to read the plaques attached to either end. It was built between 1930-31 by the US Bureau of Public roads and crosses the Boise River, right by Boise State University. This single bridge was largely...More

We see this beautiful bridge everytime we travel Capitol Blvd. in Boise. Take time to think about all those early pioneers that traveled the Oregon Trail. They are the reason we have a beautiful Treasure Valley.

Just a nice little bridge with historical marker for a good photo op – worth a stop to check it out on a walking tour of the city.

As far as bridges go, this one is neater than most. Honestly I don't critique bridges enough. Lots of people walk on it though.

This scenic bridge crosses the Boise, River. Built in 1931, there are plaques and mosaics on the columns. You can see the river, the Capitol and Boise Depot from one spot! Really pretty and just a short walk. Ann Frank Memorial, Library and The Cabin...More

The City of Boise recently renovated this bridge as part of Boise's sesquicentennial celebration in 2013. The restoration included paint, new torchieres and installation of six lights below street level on the bridge's piers which were re-created by craftsman Greg Marsters, based on an image...More
