Coeur d'Alene lake is home to a variety of attractions. Summer is the most active and many consider it the best season. It is one of the few resort areas that doesn't get too crowded and expensive during the "high" season. Boat, eat, drink, ski, surf, float down river and just enjoy the beauty of the area. See moose, deer,... More

Lake Coeur d' Alene is a beautiful large lake in Idaho. You can travel by boat to many different towns and have a meal or a drink the fishing is great and if you like to waterski you have plenty of room. You can also parasail or take a float plane ride. Plenty to see and do.

We enjoyed the drive along the east side of the lake to Harrison and back through the countryside to I-90. Great views and appreciation for the natural setting. Also, enjoyed view of the lake from the restaurant whole dining in Coeur d'Alene. Most enjoyable place.

We rented a speed boat from the resort right on the waterfront in downtown CDA, easy peasy, off we went for a 3 hour + tour and picnic on Mother's Day! Great fun for the whole family. Service was great. Inside scoop: rentals are 1/2 off pre season!

So this was a little campy admittedly, and our kids were too old to appreciate the fun in it, but it was a nice boat ride and did get us into the holiday spirit.

The lake was so calm and serene, there are many paths you can walk on,a popular place as there is a park next to the lake . Apparently there are many varieties of fish you can catch, even salmon, the tour boats are a great idea too. It is such a peaceful spot.Watch your step as it is rocky ! It's so nice... More

We drove about halfway around the lake on a sunny day in September, intended to drive all the way around. But we kept stopping for the view, and to take pictures, so ended up retracing our steps. It's a beautiful peaceful lake.
