There is not as much about Idaho in the Museum of Idaho as there is about space exploration. There are several simulations like you might expect at a science center. There is adequate parking available. It is not a bad place to spend a couple...More

There is a very comprehensive exhibit on Space and Space Exploration here. Always an interesting topic. Additionally, I loved the exhibit room on the Village Improvement Society. It was amazing to see all the old quilts and other needlework made by women of Idaho Falls

This museum is extremely well managed. Temporary exhibits are always exciting. There's a directional flow, but it's not mandatory. It's perfect for young kids with a wide variety of attention spans. Especially, given that Idaho Falls is a relatively small town, it's impressive. The architecture...More

The layout is distributed on multiple floors. There were some interesting things, but as museums go, they need to make the displays "pop" more. The theme is Idaho history, purportedly, but it seemed disjointed. One display was about space exploration. Idaho isn't exactly ground central...More

I expected a focus on Idaho history, not the moon landing and NASA, so this was not a good surprise for me. But I did learn of Idaho's part in the development of the atomic age, so that was a good surprise. What I thought...More
