Really more of a hobbyist museum. Very limited displays. If you are in Pocatello and there is nothing else to do....maybe.

This museum occupies a single floor of the old library building. They have their archives in the basement and the upper floors are used for other Idaho State offices. The exhibits are a combination of visiting ones (an exhibit comparing what families spend around the world in our case) and ones that are made up of items that the museum... More

When my son & I was visiting the museum, they were in the process of remodeling it !!! What we did see was pretty cool, we did get to see the lay-out of what it will look like in the future, it will look pretty interesting!!!

Small but reasonably priced museum. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They seemed to really enjoy chatting with visitors and helping them learn more. The food exhibit and Titanoboa were particularly interesting!

This museum is not gigantic like some in large cities but it is well worth the effort to visit. I have been to this Museum several times and have never been disappointed. Go when there are no school groups visiting. I would not go on Saturday.

This is my first one star review. I apologize if it seems harsh. However, I took my daughter and grandchildren to see the Titanoboa Monster Snake exhibit with an entry fee of almost $50. It was a ridiculous waste of money. I defend ISU all of the time but in this instance I can't. An overbearing student followed us around... More

Not bad but definitely over priced for what you get there was only four exhibits. And it cost $8 for ea h adult and $2 for our child. Will not go again.

The museum is on a college campus and occupies a few rooms in one of the buildings. There was a local section on Idaho history and environmental issues. There was another section that had some large fossils on display and some interactive displays. Overall the displays were well thought out and informative. It would be a great place to bring... Nice place to stop in Pocatello and spend a couple hours. It is a smaller museum but has lots of displays and information. My granddaughter who is 9 liked it a lot. She likes science and learning. The student interns were really great and liked sharing information with us. I thought the timeline was excellent and really gives perspective of... More
