Terrific Tour

I highly recommend this Tour. Experience a real mine and talk to miners who made a career in hard rock mining. Fascinating.

Fun vintage trolley ride up to the mine, and very well explained and thorough tour of the mine. The tour guides are the real deal, they know mining. We learned a lot and would stay this one of our highlights from our road trip to Yellowstone.

Very interesting tour where you even go underground and shown how silver was and is still mined today in the Wallace Area.

I really enjoyed my tour of the mine. I learned a lot from our guide "Fast Freddie" who was a retired miner with 20 yrs experience. He was friendly and patient and enjoyed answering all questions. The mine was 8 feet high and not at all claustrophobic. Definitely worth my time. There was also a short ride through Wallace with... More

This silver mining tour is an excellent tour stop, if you are visiting the area. I think it is well worth the stop. The guide was a retired miner and was so full of knowledge which made this tour and excellent tour of how silver was mined. Also visit the museum. And after the tour have lunch at the Black... More

Our tour guide spent decades in the mines, so he provided a lot of color commentary that brought the mine to life. He also demonstrated some of the mining equipment, so that we could see how it actually worked. The guide made the entire experience. This was a worthwhile stop.

Take a step back in time, and see how another part of your world is harvested. Get a better understanding of the hard work these miners did and are doing!

We started our tour by going through the museum at the Sierra Silver mine store in Wallace. There was a so much information housed here that it was tough to absorb it all. Our tour guide was Fast Freddy and he was fantastic. He was a miner for many years and was able to provide first hand knowledge to go... More

If you even have a passing interest in mining, history, or underground things, this is a good fit for you. You get to the mine by riding their old trolley, where the driver points out historic locations and gives a nice overview of mining in the area. The tour of the mine itself is great. The guides are experienced and... More

This is a great tour. After a trolley ride around town learning about the history of Wallace, we were taken to the mine. Our guide, a miner who had worked for 20 years in the mines, was very informative as he demonstrated the equipment used (it is loud) and recounted his experiences. I had never realized how difficult mining is... More
