The planetarium is relatively small, packed with different exhibits. The shows are very interesting, I highly recommend the skywatch live. They will guide you through that night Chicago stars and some constellations you should be able to see (if and only if Chicago had a...More

Went to two shows in the planetarium theatre and they were both very interesting. Should watch at least one. This is not a very large planetarium but there's ample things to do and see. Worth going at least one time.

We bought City Passes, so we were able to watch unlimited shows at the Adler Planetarium, all of which were fun, interactive, and kid-friendly! Even as we were waiting outside the theater for one of the shows, our kids were able to use their shadows...More

The staff are very knowledgeable and seam to really care about the information they give out. The shows were top notch and narrated expertly. It is one of the few spots like this we could visit every time we go to Chicago and never get...More

I was a little disappointed with the place. Not a lot of things to do. We liked the Atwood Sphere Experience, the lady was very knowledgeable and nice. Maybe for small kids will be more fun!

Surprisingly large and quite interesting. It has a very wide variety of exhibits. We spent 4-5 hours there and learned quite a lot about our solar system and galaxy.

I am not reviewing the Planetarium! Every summer(Wednesday and Saturday), fireworks explode at the Navy Pier. You can watch the fireworks from Alder Planetarium. It is very beautiful in the evening when the lights come on.

The whole family enjoys going to the Planetarium even though we are not into space that much. We watched 2 movies which were both very interesting. The museum is gorgeous and well-kept. Both my kids enjoy the play area because they learn so many new...More

South Loop
This downtown neighborhood offers a variety of
activities ranging from cultural to sporting. If you
happen to visit during football season, you may bump
into a boisterous few fans on their way to a Bears
game on the southernmost tip of South Loop. On the
flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and
educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and
aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park
