The boat ride was well organized, clean, and Andy, the tour guide, was funny and knowledgeable. We went on the architectural tour, as that was the only one available for this time of season, but wish we would have had some more time out on the lake. The water was very choppy and cold but the weather was warm and... More

Me and the wife had a blast on Seadog! Our tour guide Andy was very informative and had a great sense of humor. After u experience the Lochs that level the water they take u around to see some architecture downtown then they spin around and take u out for a spin and let the 2 Detroit Deisel engines wake... We headed to SeaDog to take the architectural tour of Chicago on their early afternoon cruise on a weekday. The weather was great, and the ride started out with a very cool speedboat ride around the harbor as we had to wait for the Chicago Locks to open. Our tour guide/narrator was great and she definitely had a sense of... More

This tour leaves from Navy Pier. It took us on a tour down the river, and the guide gives great information about the nearby buildings and historical facts of Chicago. They then take you out on the lake for a speedboat ride. One of the highlights of our trip!

Went on a lovely sunny afternoon, beautiful thing to do when the sun is out. The view of the city sky line was probably the best you will get. The staff were great, helping to make the trip more fun. Very exhilarating and I think good value for money, I know many places charge much more.

I have been to Chicago around 25 or so times and must say, I wished I did this on one of my first trips. We did the Architect tour which included a 15 minute high speed boat ride on Lake Michigan. While I wish the weather was better (it was cloudy and a little rainy) the boat pushed off from... More

We booked this at a discount but it is worth full price. Loved the small group we had compared to some of the other larger boats. We went through the lock at damn system after we boarded. It was cool seeing the water rise up and then exiting on the river. The tour guide was great at explaining all the... More

Driving fast on Lake Michigan then onto the locks to hit the Chicago river. Will never do a bus tour again!!! My 7 and 11 years old enjoyed the... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
