It is in the Millenium Park. Great for photos. Take from one side and the lake is the backdrop and from the other side the skyline is the backdrop. It is only two blocks from the Art Institute so can do together.

This is worth a stop. There are plenty of viewing areas. It is fun to see this fountain. We stopped by twice to view the fountain.

It's the fountain from the end of the opening credits. What else can I say about it? It has nothing to do with Buckingham Palace.

This was beautiful to see from up close. I've only ever seen it while being a passenger in a car. My kids also thought it was a worthwhile stop and they are 13 and 11.

Haven't been here since I was a kid - very beautiful and busy. I want to come back to see it at night now!

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

The fountain operates mid-April through mid-October from 8 am-11 pm, so it kind of depends on when, in October, you will be visiting.

If you travel in the warmer months, it's a must do on the list though not sure if it will be open in cooler climate as I visited in early Sept!
