Fourth Presbyterian Church has an open door to all who might want to view its architecture, reflect or pray, or experience culture. Every Sunday there are four worship services which welcome visitors. Many just "drop by" this oasis in the city to experience the weekly free concerts at 12:10 PM on Fridays, to see the rotating art exhibits in the... More

Very Beautiful church with spectacular architecture design. The stain glass was spectacular. I did speak with a patron in the church and was made to feel very welcomed to go inside and enjoy the beauty. Truly a House of God.

We were in Chicago on the first Sunday of Lent and being a presbyterian decied to attend the 9:30 service at 4th Presbyterian. The service, including the visiting choir from Muskegum University and the sermon were very meaningful. The people we met were very welcoming and friendly.

SUch a beautiful old church in the midst of contemporary sky scrapers. Our choir sang here as part of the Friday Performance Series and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful interiors for photography if you have a wide angle and a very fast lens.

I am staying around the corner and just happened into the Church. I was totally unprepared to see that the breathtaking wooden ceiling looks like the ribs of an inverted ship. The stained glass windows are absolutely exquisite. I felt free to just sit and absorb all this. The Gothic revival style church looks more like a cathedral. And it... More

A cold morning on Michigan Avenue after a good breakfast and a long walk -- time to be alone for reflection. The sanctuary of Fourth Presbyterian Church was open for visitors in need of a quiet place. Its magnificent arched windows, hanging chandeliers, high ceiling and beautiful pulpit and table were backdrops for individual prayer and meditation. The information about... More

Wow. Heavenly. Sit in a pew and just look at everything. And take a million pictures. The stained glass is exquisite, and the organ pipes are enormous!

Early on Christmas Eve, we attended the Children's Pageant and were warmly welcomed by the regular parishioners. The church was packed, the lighting of the angels near the ceiling dramatic, the music lovely, and the children's participation utterly delightful, including great costumes and boisterous singing from the children's choir. Thank you to all of the church regulars and officiants.

This church is absolutely beautiful. You can walk in so long as there is no service going on (unless you are staying for service of course). The architecture of this church is nothing short of amazing. Definitely a place for any age to see
