We stayed several blocks from the Cathedral, and attended Sunday Mass. It was a very nice service and a beautiful church.

I used to go to this church. If you are visiting on a Sunday, the service is beautiful as well as the architecture of the building itself. This is where I became an official Catholic after conversion in the 80's. It is a Chicago landmark...More

Unlike many cathedrals I have visited, at least Holy Name still looks somewhat like a Catholic Church., as it was not totally stripped of its original beauty.

Regardless of your faith, if you can appreciate architecture and/or history, the cathedral is a great place to take in.

Inside and out this is a beutiful cathedral for those that may appreciate such things. Do the Crime Scene tour alos couple blocks away and learn how this location was the scene of a mob hit 80 years ago.

The Cathedral stands at a junction on N State Street and made a great sight in the sunshine. The interior in bright and welcoming and includes a particularly striking organ. The roof, which was restored after a fire in 2009 is particularly impressive.

We covered this place in our tour, and it was incredible. I can only imagine it must be even more so if you're Catholic. The History from this place, and that the Pope had stayed here recently, was pretty interesting. The volume of weddings is...More

Had to stop by with my son and show him how beautiful Holy Name Cathedral is inside and outside. They do not make Cathedral like this any more.
